Pastor Phelim also leads the congregation at Trinity Apostolic Church in Strabane. The church is located on the Melmount Road in Strabane (see directions here).
The church has been especially blessed in recent years by two visits of a team of young people from California. These teams have used the church as a base from which to reach out to serve the local community and demonstrate the love of God. This has involved working with local children and youth based at a nearby community centre and running Bible clubs and concerts in the church. Each year the teams were welcomed and supported in this cross community work by the local Strabane district council.
The work to reach into the local community continues each month through visits by members of the Strabane assembly to a local nursing home and through work on the streets with the many young people who gather in the town centre over the weekends.This year the church has began to work more closely with other churches in the town to meet this need.
There are services in the church each Sunday morning and evening and a prayer meeting each Tuesday night. As well as our seasonal events and summer mission, the church has for many years hosted a WhitSun convention; a powerful weekend of teaching and ministry with invited speakers. Our vision to see the Strabane church being used by God to reach out across the local community with the Good News of God's love and purpose for each person in this town and beyond and to demonstrate that love in the power of His Holy Spirit.
